GARY A. COSTALES: Board certification is the Florida Bar's recognition that a lawyer is truly an expert or specialist in his field. I am one of less than 200 attorneys that are board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of labor and employment law, which is a very small percentage of the lawyers out there because there's more than 88,000 lawyers licensed in the state of Florida. Experience is crucial in the area of labor and employment law. Unlike other lawyers who may practice in the area of labor and employment law, I've got experience as a solo practitioner. I've got experience as an attorney with the federal government. And I also have experience working with a law firm that represents exclusively management. I've represented both sides of defense and continue to represent both plaintiffs and defendants. And my clients really benefit from that experience.
